Terms and Conditions – Vehicle Remapping Services

Effective Date: 12.6.2026

1. Definitions

"Company", "we", "our", or "us" refers to Sussex Auto Tune.

"Customer", "you", or "your" refers to the owner or authorised representative of the vehicle.

"Vehicle" refers to the vehicle presented for remapping or related services.

2. Services

We provide ECU software modifications (vehicle remapping), diagnostics, software updates, and related automotive tuning services.

All services are carried out using professional equipment and industry-standard procedures.

3. Customer Responsibilities

By booking our services, you confirm that:

- You are the legal owner of the vehicle or have the owner's permission.

- The vehicle is roadworthy and mechanically sound.

- You have disclosed all known faults, previous modifications, tuning, or repairs.

- You understand that existing mechanical issues may become apparent after remapping.

Failure to disclose relevant information may void any warranty provided by us.

4. Vehicle Condition

We are not responsible for faults caused by:

- Existing mechanical or electrical defects.

- Worn or failing components.

- Poor servicing or maintenance.

- Previous tuning or modifications.

- Manufacturer software issues.

If faults are identified before or during the remap, work may be postponed or cancelled.

5. Performance Results

Performance gains are estimates only.

Actual improvements in power, torque, fuel economy, or drivability will vary depending on:

- Vehicle condition

- Fuel quality

- Maintenance history

- Driving style

- Environmental conditions

No specific increase in horsepower, torque, or fuel economy is guaranteed.

6. Manufacturer Warranty

The customer acknowledges that ECU remapping may:

- Void or affect the manufacturer's warranty.

- Be detectable by manufacturers or dealerships.

- Affect future warranty claims.

We accept no responsibility for manufacturer warranty decisions.

7. Insurance

It is the customer's responsibility to inform their insurance provider of any vehicle modifications.

We accept no liability for rejected insurance claims or increased premiums.

8. Emissions and Road Legality

The customer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Where requested modifications affect emissions systems or road legality, the customer accepts full responsibility for the vehicle's legal use.

We reserve the right to refuse work that we believe would breach applicable laws.

9. Payment

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Vehicles may not be released until payment has been received in full.

10. Cancellation

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Deposits are non-refundable unless cancelled by us.

11. Warranty

Where offered, our software warranty covers only the remap software installed by us.

The warranty does not cover:

- Mechanical failures.

- Turbocharger failures.

- Clutch or gearbox wear.

- DPF, EGR, AdBlue or emissions-related failures.

- Injector, fuel system or engine faults.

- Damage resulting from abuse, racing or competition use.

- Third-party software alterations.

- Dealer software updates overwriting the remap.

Any warranty becomes void if:

- The ECU is modified by another party.

- The vehicle is not maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.

- Additional performance modifications are made without our approval.

12. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service provided.

We shall not be liable for:

- Loss of earnings.

- Loss of business.

- Recovery costs.

- Vehicle hire costs.

- Consequential or indirect losses.

- Damage arising from pre-existing faults.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Test Drives

Where necessary, the customer authorises us to road test the vehicle before and after work has been completed.

14. Data

We may store ECU files, diagnostic information, and customer details for warranty, technical support, and record-keeping purposes in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

15. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:

- The vehicle is unsafe.

- Payment concerns arise.

- Illegal modifications are requested.

- The vehicle presents an unacceptable risk.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Acceptance

By booking or authorising work, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
